Trounce Caravans

Background

Trounce Caravans is a family-owned caravan dealership located on the Western Highway east of Ballarat, Victoria. NOTE: Trounce is a dealer, not a manufacturer. The dealership was established in 1997 and has been supplying caravans since 2003 in the Ballarat region. They specialise in new Safari Caravans as well as used caravan sales.

Trounce has maintained an exclusive partnership with Safari Caravans for more than 15 years. Safari Caravans are manufactured in Melbourne but sold through Trounce as their primary dealer in the Ballarat area.

Ownership & Structure

Family-owned and operated dealership. The business is run by two brothers. They are an authorised dealer for Safari Caravans, which are Australian-made and built on Australian chassis with Australian steel. Trounce does not manufacture caravans.

Manufacturing

Not applicable — Trounce is a dealership, not a manufacturer. The Safari Caravans they sell are produced in Melbourne. Trounce provides on-site servicing and repair facilities for caravans of all brands.

Market Position

Regional caravan dealer serving the Ballarat and western Victoria area. With over 50 new and used caravans typically in stock, they are a significant regional dealership. Their exclusive Safari partnership gives them a distinct identity in the market, though their regional location limits their reach compared to Melbourne-based dealers.
