Background
Skyline Campers was founded by Kris approximately seven years ago (circa 2019), following 14 years of building campervans in both the UK and Australia. The company is Australia’s only exclusive Volkswagen campervan and motorhome manufacturer. Skyline is a nationally recognised Second Stage Manufacturer with over 20 years of combined experience.
The company has grown from its main factory in West Gosford, NSW, to a growing national presence including a Perth showroom and a new location in Tingalpa, Queensland.
Ownership & Structure
Skyline Campers was founded and is led by Kris. The company operates from its main facility in West Gosford, NSW, with additional showrooms in Perth, WA, and Tingalpa, QLD. They are an independent, privately-held business focused exclusively on Volkswagen and VW Crafter platforms.
Manufacturing
All conversions are performed at their purpose-built facility in West Gosford, NSW. Skyline specialises in VW T7 Transporter campervans and VW Crafter motorhomes. As a Second Stage Manufacturer, they convert factory VW vehicles into fully equipped campervans and motorhomes. Customers can customise colours and finishes to their preferences. The builds are delivered Australia-wide.
Market Position
Skyline sits firmly in the premium campervan segment. As Australia’s only exclusive VW campervan and motorhome manufacturer, they have a clear niche position. The exclusive VW focus is both their differentiator and their limitation.
