Paramount Caravans

Background

Paramount Caravans was established in December 2001 by John Christou in Melbourne. The company is a partnership between John Christou and Arthur Anastasiou, who collectively bring more than 40 years of experience in the caravan industry. Paramount has built over 8,000 caravans since its founding.

Rather than mass-producing caravans, Paramount positions itself as a mature brand that takes the time to understand customers’ needs, building caravans to order with personalised specifications.

Ownership & Structure

Paramount Caravans is an Australian-owned and operated family business, co-founded by John Christou and Arthur Anastasiou. The company operates from Campbellfield, Victoria. Paramount also has a connection to the Golden Eagle caravan brand, with a combined “Paramount and Golden Eagle Caravan Owner’s Group” on Facebook.

Manufacturing

Paramount caravans are built at 15/17 Merri Concourse, Campbellfield, VIC 3061. The company uses a build-to-order model with a rigorous quality control process. They are proudly Australian-made. The product range includes models like the Studio, Commander, Duet, Delta, Classic, and Micro, spanning from compact tourers to larger family and off-road configurations.

Market Position

Paramount sits in the mid-range segment of the Australian caravan market with over 20 years of manufacturing experience. Their built-to-order approach differentiates them from mass manufacturers, while their pricing remains accessible compared to premium boutique builders. Key model lines include couples tourers, family vans, and off-road capable configurations.
