Roadstar Caravans has a history stretching back to around 1980, with over 30 years of manufacturing experience. The brand changed hands in 2008 when Ken Nizam’s family business and chassis supplier, Australian Hitec Engineering (Hi Tech Engineering), acquired Roadstar Caravans. Under Nizam’s leadership as Managing Director, the existing team was rehired and a new era of innovation began. Nizam set about modernising the range.

In 2015, Roadstar expanded into a fully upgraded 3,000 sqm factory in Somerton, Victoria, doubling production capacity. A landmark moment came in 2017 when Roadstar launched Australia’s first full fibreglass sandwich panel composite caravan, positioning the brand at the forefront of construction technology in the Australian market.
