About Offline Campers
Background
Offline Campers was founded by Sam Reynolds, a chartered mechanical engineer with a background in defence (he worked at the Australian Submarine Corporation). Sam would spend his days at ASC and his evenings and weekends designing on CAD or building in the garage. His wife Jenna worked at AnglicareSA coordinating a wellbeing program for over 1,800 staff. After two years of R&D — which culminated in a trip across the Simpson Desert — Offline Campers released its first product, the RAKER, in 2018.
In 2020, Sam launched the DOMINO, a teardrop-inspired hybrid design that transforms from trailer to camper at the push of a button. The company has been described as “a back shed business that got out of hand” that emerged during pandemic times, and now operates from a historic Adelaide factory.
Ownership & Structure
Offline Campers is a family business owned and operated by Sam and Jenna Reynolds, based in Adelaide, South Australia.
Manufacturing
Offline Campers are built in Adelaide, South Australia, using Australian components including steel and electronic fittings. Sam’s mechanical engineering background in defence is evident in the build quality, with products designed to withstand the harshest conditions of remote and off-grid locations. The RAKER is a hard-floor camper, while the DOMINO is a hybrid with an innovative pop-up mechanism. A newer model, the Ryder Lite, has also been launched.
Market Position
Offline Campers sits in the premium camper trailer segment. The DOMINO starts at $66,400 for the basic package, though most buyers end up paying around $80,000 or more after options. The brand targets older couples post-kids who want high-quality engineering and easy setup. Their competition is other premium Australian-built camper trailers, and their engineering pedigree sets them apart.
