About Harvok
Background
Harvok launched in Australia in 2020 under the leadership of CEO Ben Liu, a qualified mechanical and aerospace engineer with close to a decade of experience in the Australian caravan manufacturing industry. Liu saw an opportunity to combine his local design expertise with the scale of economy of Chinese manufacturing to create something genuinely different — a monocoque-construction, all-electric caravan. The company’s “Suit of Armour” name refers to its construction method: aluminium panels robotically seam-welded together to create a one-piece body.
Harvok has iterated quickly since launch. First-generation models featured early-adopter 48V gasless systems, followed by steel-body monocoque construction. The latest models have switched from steel to aluminium bodies, shedding hundreds of kilograms. The first 19ft 6in gas-free van was introduced in 2021 at around $94,990, with newer entry-level models now available from approximately $79,990.
Ownership & Structure
Harvok is led by founder and CEO Ben Liu. The company designs its caravans in Australia and manufactures in China, leveraging Chinese manufacturing scale while maintaining Australian engineering and design standards. The company has established dealerships in New South Wales (Minchinbury) and Victoria (Braeside).
Manufacturing
Harvok caravans are manufactured in China using robotic welding technology. The monocoque construction method bonds aluminium panels together with continuous seam welds rather than rivets and sealant. The company has progressively evolved its construction from steel to aluminium monocoque, significantly reducing weight. All-electric 48V systems eliminate the need for gas, which Harvok positions as both a safety and convenience advantage.
Market Position
Harvok is a mid-range caravan brand. The caravans use gasless, monocoque construction. Pricing sits in the $80,000–$100,000 range.
