About Crusader Caravans
Background
Crusader Caravans was established in 2002 by Serge Valentino, who brings decades of hands-on caravan building experience and a passion for innovation. As a keen camper and adventurer since childhood, Valentino designed Crusader caravans with real-world touring experience in mind. In 2016, Crusader partnered with Mawson Group for strategic support, capital, and management expertise, fuelling significant growth.
The company won the 2024 Caravan Industry Victoria award for Excellence in Caravan and RV Manufacturing (Manufacturer of the Year). In 2024-2025, Crusader announced expansion into USA exports.
Ownership & Structure
Founded by Serge Valentino, with Mawson Group as strategic partner since 2016. The company operates from its manufacturing facility in Epping, Victoria. Crusader has a growing dealer network across Australia including dedicated dealerships in Melbourne, Adelaide, and other cities. Multiple Facebook groups serve owners: Crusader Caravan Owners Group of Australia, an “Uncensored” variant, and model-specific groups like Crusader Musketeer Treville Caravans Owners.
Manufacturing
State-of-the-art manufacturing facility at 14 Chadderton Boulevard, Epping, Victoria 3076. Crusader uses composite construction techniques, including fibreglass sandwich panel roofing (upgraded from 30mm to 40mm thick in 2025 to support solar panels and air-conditioners). The 2025 range features new exterior and interior designs, unique finishes, and options for off-grid power and off-road suspension.
Market Position
Mid-range manufacturer with models spanning entry-level touring (from ~$66,000 RRP) to premium off-road. Key ranges include the Lifechanger (touring), Musketeer (mid-range), Excalibur (premium), and Chameleon (couples). Crusader also manufactures the CRV range for lighter towing requirements.
