About BRS Offroad

Background

BRS Offroad was founded by Ben Souter, a former luxury home construction worker (carpenter by trade) who had toyed with the idea of building camper trailers for at least three years before his tenure with a caravan components manufacturer ended. He transferred paper sketches to chalk drawings on the workshop floor, then to full-scale MDF models before building the first Pursuit prototype.

The original Pursuit was voted Camper Trailer of the Year by Camper magazine in 2018, launching the then-startup BRS Offroad into the spotlight. The Sherpa won its category at the 2019 Camper Trailer of the Year competition. The company has since expanded into the US market.

Ownership & Structure

Founder-owned by Ben Souter. Small team operation with growing production capacity. BRS has expanded internationally with a presence in the United States. The brand is available through ROA (RVs of America) in the US market.

Manufacturing

Small-batch manufacturing with emphasis on quality over volume. The range includes the Pursuit (including Pursuit Platinum and Pursuit Carbon variants) and the Sherpa (including Sherpa Gen II and Gen III). Construction is described as “rugged as it looks” with attention to detail that reviewers find hard to beat. The Pursuit Platinum has a tare mass of 1,540kg with an ATM of 2,500kg, offering a strong payload capacity. Pricing for the Pursuit Carbon starts at around $91,000 USD in the US market.

Market Position

Premium off-road camper trailer segment. The Pursuit’s combination of extreme off-road capability with caravan-level comfort features sets it apart. The brand has earned strong credibility through multiple Camper Trailer of the Year wins.
